Detailed requrements A photograph or a
similar pictorial record (hereinafter a “photograph”) has a smooth surface, must
satisfy tests for image stability and be black and white or colour. It is
rectangular measuring The photograph shows
the head and upper part of the shoulders of the person facing the camera so that
the central vertical plane of the face is extended to the vertical plane of the
camera lens and the horizontal plane of the face formed by the eyes is extended
to the horizontal plane of the camera lens. The photograph must
correspond to the person’s appearance at the time of filing the application.
Photos of you looking over your shoulder, turned to the side or with the head
inclined are not acceptable. The expression must be neutral with the mouth
closed and the eyes open. Hair should not cover the face. The minimum distance
between the upper edge of the head and the upper edge of the photo is 2 mm. The
height of the facial part of the head, which is formed by the distance between
the eyes and the chin, is at least 13 mm. The background is white to light blue, or if needs be, a light grey colour. Various hues of these colours are acceptable. The photograph should be free from reflection or glare that would markedly change the person’s characteristic identifying traits such as the shape and location of the eyebrows, eyes, nose, mouth, chin and the overall shape of the face. The photograph cannot be retouched nor can any other modifications be made to the negative or positive nor can the person’s image be digitally processed and then printed. |
